Premier's ANZAC Student Tour Competitions
2010 Competition
The Premier's ANZAC Student Tour 2010 will see 12 students represent Western Australia on an overseas history study tour in April 2010 to Gallipoli, Turkey.
Applications for the Premier's ANZAC Student Tour 2010 open on 25 April 2009. All entries must be submitted by 14 August 2009. Submitted entries are judged at a preliminary final, with selected students progressing to a State Final, to be held on 9 October 2009.
At this level of the competition, students will be required to present a five minute speech based on their essay and will be interviewed about their understanding of the ANZAC spirit and their capacity to act as ambassadors for Western Australia. 12 students will then be chosen to participate in the Premier's ANZAC Student Tour 2010, with winners announced on 11 November 2009 (Remembrance Day).
Selection for this highly prestigious program occurs through each secondary school across Western Australia. All students are eligible to enter and are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity through which students are able to demonstrate and develop their interpersonal skills and self confidence as well as building knowledge of the history of Western Australia and Australia.
